New Paltz
•Contempt:Keith T. Cox, 51, of New Paltz, was arrested by New Paltz police at about 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, and was charged with criminal contempt of a court order of protection, a felony; attempted assault, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation. Cox is accused of punching a woman in the face and cutting her hand with a knife. The woman was treated by the New Paltz Rescue Squad and released. Cox was released with tickets to appear in New Paltz Town Court. The investigation is continuing, and additional charges may be filed, police said.
Rhinebeck
•Grand larceny:Daniel A. McLean, 43, of Millbrook, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the state police barracks on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with grand larceny, a felony. McLean was released with a court appearance ticket. Further information was unavailable.
Wawarsing
•Grand larceny:Katherine R. Parken, 31, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, on Mollsbrook Road and was charged with grand larceny and identity theft, both felonies. She was released with tickets to appear in Wawarsing Town Court.
