Hudson City Police Detectives arrested a Hudson man in connection with a sexual assault of 9 year old that allegedly occurred in Hudson last summer.
On Friday , March 6, 2020 at about 4:30pm Hudson Detectives interviewed the parents of a juvenile Hudson resident who gave their child’s account of the incident. With the assistance of Columbia County Assistant District Attorneys Joyce Crawford and Krista Kline, and the staff of the Child Advocacy Center, information was obtained from the child that afternoon. Criminal charges were immediately prepared.
At 8:07pm Officer Jessica Mausolf located MOHAMMED ALI, age 67, on State Street and took him into custody. ALI was charged with 7 counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (D felony) and 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A misd). ALI was arraigned in front of Hudson City Court Judge Brian Herman and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or bond. He is due back in court on March 12, 2020.
ALI was charged on November 14, 2019 with 2 counts of Rape 1 (B fel) and 3 counts of Sexual Abuse 1 (D fel) . He was ROR’d that day after arraignment. On November 22, 2019 after a hearing, ALI was remanded to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail which he posted later that day and was released.
