CHATHAM CENTRAL SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED

TODAY. THE DISTRICT SAYS THERE WILL BE

NO SCHOOL DUE TO A POWER OUTAGE.

THE HUDSON MAN WHO WAS CHARGED IN JUNE,

FOR ALLEGEDLY FIRING SHOTS ON STATE

STREET, WAS ARRAIGNED IN COLUMBIA

COUNTY COURT THURSDAY ON FELONY DRUG

CHARGES. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY D.A.'S

OFFICE SAYS 26 YEAR OLD KEVRON LEE

WAS INDICTED ON THREE COUNTS OF

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE.

A HUDSON MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL, AFTER BEING CHARGED WITH

THE BREAK-IN AT CHRIS'S CAFE ON

KINDERHOOK STREET IN VALATIE. THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

SAYS 48 YEAR OLD JAMES SMITH MAY FACE

CHARGES IN OTHER BURGLARIES.

TWO VALATIE RESIDENTS HAVE ALSO BEEN

CHARGED WITH BURGLARY, FOR A BREAK-IN

AT A HOME IN KINDERHOOK. STATE POLICE

SAY, 30 YEAR OLD'S BRENDAN CROTTY AND

BRITTANY HEVESSY STOLE SEVERAL CREDIT

CARDS AND USED THEM AT AREA WALMART'S.

A GREENVILLE MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED

FOR AN ASSAULT ON KING HILL ROAD. 32

YEAR OLD KEVIN MURTHA WAS CHARGED BY

THE GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

WITH BURGLARY, ROBBERY, ASSAULT,

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, AND WEAPON'S

POSSESSION. BAIL WAS SET AT 75,000

DOLLARS.

A FRAUD INVESTIGATION FROM SEPTEMBER

IN CAIRO HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A

BUFFALO MAN. 24 YEAR OLD VENTON JOHNSON

IS CHARGED WITH IDENTITY THEFT, UNLAWFUL

POSSESSION OF PERSONAL ID, AND PETIT

LARCENY.

A 17 YEAR OLD INMATE AT THE HUDSON

CORRECTIONAL FACILITY HAS BEEN INDICTED

BY A COLUMBIA COUNTY GRAND JURY ON SIX

FELONY COUNTS. THE TEEN WAS ARRAIGNED

IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT WEDNESDAY ON

CHARGES OF AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF AN

EMPLOYEE BY AN INMATE.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE CALLED TO

A ONE CAR ACCIDENT THURSDAY AFTERNOON

IN LIVINGSTON. A CAR LEFT ROUTE 9G

AT FOX CREEK ROAD, AND WENT DOWN AN

EMBANKMENT. THE INJURED WERE CHECKED

OUT AT THE SCENE.
