A TRANSFORMER FIRE, AND WIRES DOWN IN

LIVINGSTON ARE BEING BLAMED FOR POWER

OUTAGES YESTERDAY MORNING. AROUND 800

NATIONAL GRID CUSTOMERS IN LIVINGSTON,

CLAVERACK, AND TAGHKANIC SPENT SEVERAL

HOURS WITHOUT POWER.

A FRAUD INVESTIGATION AT THE

GREENPORT WALMART HAS LEAD TO THE

ARREST OF TWO KINDERHOOK RESIDENTS.

STATE POLICE CHARGED 32 YEAR OLD

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS AND 26 YEAR

OLD JULIE WOJTKOWSKI WITH FORGERY,

PETIT LARCENY, AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. BOTH WERE

HELD ON BAIL.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN CATSKILL

HAS A TOWN MAN IN THE GREENE

COUNTY JAIL. 20 YEAR OLD ROBERT

OWEN WAS CHARGED BY STATE POLICE

WITH UNLAWFUL IMPRISONMENT AND

PETIT LARCENY. BAIL WAS SET

AT 1000 DOLLARS.

GREENPORT FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED

TO ROUTE 9G, AT MT. MERINO ROAD

YESTERDAY MORNING, WHEN A TREE CAME

DOWN, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.THERE WERE

NO REPORTED INJURIES.

ONE PERSON HAD MINOR INJURIES,

AFTER STRIKING A DEER ON ROUTE 9H

IN WEST GHENT LAST NIGHT. THE

CRASH WAS JUST BEFORE 7:30.

THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT GAVE

CHATHAM'S WATER A CLEAN BILL OF

HEALTH THURSDAY MORNING. THE BOIL

WATER ORDER WAS THEN CANCELLED.

IT HAD BEEN IN PLACE SINCE A

WATER MAIN BREAK TUESDAY.
