THE TOWNS OF CHATHAM AND GHENT REMAIN

UNDER A STATE OF EMERGENCY THIS MORNING.

BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S CHAIRMAN MATT

MURELL MADE THE DECLARATION MONDAY,

FOLLOWING A LARGE WATER MAIN BREAK,

THAT LEFT MANY CUSTOMERS WITHOUT WATER.

CREWS WORKED ON THE BREAK ALL DAY. A

BOIL WATER ORDER REMAINS IN EFFECT.

FOLLOWING SUNDAY NIGHT'S ACCIDENT

ON ROUTE 9 IN STOCKPORT, A STUYVESANT

WOMAN WAS HANDED A LONG LIST OF

CHARGES BY STATE POLICE. 38 YEAR OLD

STACY LONG IS CHARGED WITH DWI,

AGGRAVATED DWI, FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE,

REFUSAL TO TAKE A BREATH TEST, AND

LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PERSONAL

INJURY ACCIDENT. THE CRASH WAS

NORTH OF COUNTY ROUTE 25-B.

A NIVERVILLE MAN, WHO PLEAD GUILTY TO

MULTIPLE COUNTS OF CRIMINAL CONTEMPT,

WAS SENTENCED IN COLUMBIA COUNTY

COURT. 33 YEAR OLD JOHN LEIBACH WILL

SERVE ONE AND A HALF TO THREE YEARS

IN PRISON. AN ELEVEN YEAR ORDER OF

PROTECTION FOR THE VICTIM WILL BE IN

PLACE, ONCE HE IS RELEASED.

A HANNACROIX MAN WAS CHARGED WITH

ASSAULT, AFTER AN ALTERCATION ON

MAIN STREET IN CATSKILL. VILLAGE

POLICE TOOK 22 YEAR OLD JESSE

MANCINI INTO CUSTODY. HE'LL

ANSWER THE CHARGES IN COURT.

MONEY IS ON THE WAY TO COLUMBIA

AND GREENE COUNTIES TO STRENGTHEN

EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHING.

THE GRANTS ARE FROM HOMELAND

SECURITY. COLUMBIA WILL GET

152 THOUSAND. GREENE COUNTY,

134 THOUSAND.

A COLUMBIA COUNTY CHURCH HAS

BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE STATE AND

NATIONAL REGISTERS OF HISTORIC

PLACES. THE GLENCO MILLS METHODIST

CHAPEL IN LIVINGSTON WAS BUILT

IN 1869 FOR 2500 DOLLARS. IT'S

LOCATED ON OLD ROUTE 82.
