OLD SARAH BROWN ADMITTED TO WORKING

WITH DR. MYRA MABRY, TO OBTAIN

OXYCODONE, MORPHINE, AND HYDROMORPHINE

WITH FAKE PRESCRIPTIONS. SHE FACES 20

YEARS IN PRISON. MABRY PLEAD GUILTY

LAST MONTH.

FIRE BROKE OUT LATE WEDNESDAY

MORNING IN EAST JEWETT. FLAMES WERE

REPORTED COMING FROM THE HOME AT

352 COLGATE ROAD AROUND 11:45.

MULTIPLE GREENE COUNTY FIRE

COMPANIES WERE ON THE SCENE. NO

WORD ON THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE.

VERY BRIEF, BUT STRONG STORMS BLEW

THROUGH GREENE AND COLUMBIA COUNTIES

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, BRINGING DOWN

TREES. CREWS WERE ON THE SCENE OF

AROUND A DOZEN INCIDENTS. THE AREA

WAS VERY LUCKY THOUGH. THERE WERE

ONLY A FEW, SMALL POWER OUTAGES.

AFTER BEING CALLED TO REPORTS

OF A SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN NEW

LEBANON, A STEPHENTOWN MAN WAS

ARRESTED ON FELONY CHARGES.

STATE POLICE CHARGED 52 YEAR OLD

ROBERT KING WITH CRIMINAL

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, A LOADED

FIREARM, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, AND

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF.

A FRAUD INVESTIGATION IN CATSKILL

ENDED WITH A VILLAGE MAN IN THE GREENE

COUNTY JAIL. 27 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER

GERE WAS CHARGED BY CATSKILL POLICE

WITH FORGERY AND GRAND LARCENY,

BOTH FELONIES. BAIL WAS SET AT A

THOUSAND DOLLARS.

AS OF TODAY, ALL AREA SCHOOLS ARE

OPEN FOR THE YEAR. MOTORISTS SHOULD

BE ALERT FOR KIDS AT THE BUS STOP

THIS MORNING IN NEW LEBANON, CHATHAM,

TACONIC HILLS, CATSKILL, AND

WINDHAM-ASHLAND-JEWETT.
