FIRE OFFICIALS ARE CALLING A MONDAY

AFTERNOON FIRE IN PHILMONT SUSPICIOUS.

FIVE FIRE COMPANIES WERE CALLED TO 54

MAIN STREET JUST AFTER 3:30. TWO

BUILDINGS WERE INVOLVED. FIREFIGHTERS

WERE ABLE TO SAVE BOTH. THERE WERE

NO REPORTED INJURIES. THE CAUSE IS

UNDER INVESTIGATION.

THE WEST POINT CADET, WHO DIED

SATURDAY, AFTER FALLING AT FAWN'S

LEAP IN HAINES FALLS, HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED

AS BENJAMIN BOCHTLER FROM NEBRASKA.

THE 20 YEAR OLD HAS SERVED CLOSE TO 3

YEARS IN THE ARMY, INCLUDING NINE

MONTHS IN AFGHANISTAN, WHICH ENDED

IN JANUARY.

A FIVE YEAR OLD GIRL, AND A WOMAN

WHO IS FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT WERE TAKEN

TO THE HOSPITAL, AFTER A TWO CAR

ACCIDENT IN TAGHKANIC YESTERDAY

AFTERNOON. THE CRASH WAS ON ROUTE 82

AT TACONIC ORCHARDS.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES MONDAY, BUT

TRAFFIC WAS BACKED UP AFTER A TWO

CAR ACCIDENT ON THE RIP VAN WINKLE

BRIDGE. GREENPORT FIRE RESPONDED

JUST BEFORE 3.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ALSO

CALLED TO AN ACCIDENT YESTERDAY IN

LEXINGTON. IT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE

2 ON ROUTE 42 AT NORTH BEECH RIDGE

ROAD.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN CATSKILL

ENDED WITH A TOWN WOMAN IN THE

GREENE COUNTY JAIL. 42 YEAR OLD

ANGELA BERRY WAS CHARGED BY STATE

POLICE WITH ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON. BAIL WAS

SET AT 3000 DOLLARS.

ANOTHER DOMESTIC INCIDENT, THIS ONE

IN ATHENS. 43 YEAR OLD ALLEN

ANTONELLI WAS CHARGED BY STATE POLICE

WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND HARASSMENT.

HE WAS GIVEN APPEARANCE TICKETS BY STATE

POLICE.
