A SERIOUS ACCIDENT CLOSED COUNTY ROUTE

7A IN COPAKE LAST NIGHT. TWO VEHICLES

COLLIDED HEAD-ON NEAR TWIN BRIDGES

ROAD. THERE WERE SEVERAL INJURIES,

INCLUDING A 7 YEAR OLD BOY, WHO WAS

AIRLIFTED TO ALBANY MED. WE EXPECT

TO LEARN MORE FROM STATE POLICE

TODAY.

HUDSON FIRE AND GREENPORT RESCUE

WERE ALSO ON THE SCENE OF A TWO CAR

ACCIDENT AT THE SAME TIME. THE

OCCUPANTS WERE CHECKED OUT FOR

MINOR INJURIES AT THE INTERSECTION

OF 6TH AND WASHINGTON STREETS.

POWER CREWS WERE KEPT BUSY AGAIN

WEDNESDAY, AFTER STRONG STORMS

KNOCKED OUT POWER IN COLUMBIA

COUNTY. BETWEEN NATIONAL GRID

AND NYSEG, THERE WERE OVER

3600 CUSTOMERS IN THE DARK.

THIS MORNING THERE WERE LESS

FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A

REPORTED STRUCTURE FIRE LAST

EVENING IN NEW LEBANON. THE CALL

CAME IN JUST BEFORE 7 AT 478

ROUTE 20.

THREE WOMEN FACE CHARGES, FROM

COURT APPEARANCES IN SCHODACK.

A LARCENY INVESTIGATION IN

RHINEBECK ENDED WITH THE ARREST OF

A LEEDS MAN. 36 YEAR OLD STEVEN

HICKS WAS CHARGED WITH GRAND LARCENY

AND IDENTITY THEFT, BOTH FELONIES.

STATE POLICE SAY THE INCIDENT

INVOLVED A CREDIT CARD.
