A PALENVILLE MAN FACES A LONG LIST

OF CHARGES, AFTER AN INCIDENT ON

ROUTE 32 IN CATSKILL AND SAUGERTIES.

STATE POLICE CHARGED 48 YEAR OLD

JAMES VANVALKENBERG WITH FLEEING AN

OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, RECKLESS

DRIVING, CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, AND DRIVING

WITHOUT A LICENSE. HE WAS HELD ON

CASH BAIL.

STATE POLICE CHARGED A HUDSON WOMAN

WITH FELONY ROBBERY, AFTER AN

INCIDENT SUNDAY. 53 YEAR OLD KIM

BANKS WAS ARRESTED AT A PRIVATE

RESIDENCE ON ROUTE 217 IN MELLENVILLE.

SHE HAS A SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCE.

CAIRO FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO

THE RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH

MONDAY MORNING, FOR AN ELECTRICAL FIRE.

THE CALLER REPORTED WIRES ON THE

ROOF WERE ARCHING. CHILDREN, WHO WERE

ATTENDING VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL,

WERE EVACUATED FROM THE BUILDING. THERE

WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES.

HUDSON FIREMEN RESPONDED TO COLUMBIA

TURNPIKE LAST EVENING, WHEN A TRACTOR

TRAILER PULLED DOWN LIVE ELECTRIC

LINES. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED JUST

AFTER 6. POWER WAS OUT TO THE AREA.

NATIONAL GRID WAS CALLED IN TO MAKE

REPAIRS.

A CAR FIRE BROUGHT CHURCHTOWN

FIREFIGHTERS TO A HOME ON ROUTE 23

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE

SCENE OF A TWO CAR ACCIDENT YESTERDAY

INJURIES WERE REPORTED IN THE CRASH

ON ROUTE 203 AT COUNTY ROUTE 9.

A LAWNMOWER WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE

MONDAY AFTERNOON IN ANCRAM. THE

EQUIPMENT WAS FULLY INVOLVED WHEN

FIREMEN ARRIVED ON ROCHE LANE

JUST BEFORE 2:30.

NEW YORK WILL BE ISSUING NEW

LICENSE PLATES TO VEHICLES, WHEN

THEY RENEW THEIR REGISTRATION, STARTING

NEXT APRIL. THE NEW PLATE WILL BE
