POWER IS BACK ON FOR ALL COLUMBIA COUNTY

RESIDENTS THIS MORNING. THERE ARE LESS

THAN A DOZEN OUT IN GREENE COUNTY, AFTER

SUNDAY'S STORMS. THE CAIRO AREA

HAD THREE TRANSFORMER EXPLOSIONS OR

FIRES LAST NIGHT. TWO WERE ON OLD ROUTE

23. THE OTHER WAS ON IRA VAIL ROAD.

AFTER BEING CALLED TO THE CATSKILL

INN, A CATSKILL WOMAN WAS CHARGED

WITH ROBBERY. STATE POLICE ARRESTED

30 YEAR OLD JESSICA SCHNAUBER. SHE

WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

AND HELD, PENDING A COURT APPEARANCE.

A DRUG INVESTIGATION IN COXSACKIE

HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A TOWN MAN.

25 YEAR OLD KYLE NOVOTNY WAS CHARGED

BY STATE POLICE WITH CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, WITH INTENT

TO SELL. HE WILL ANSWER THE CHARGES IN

TOWN COURT.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS FROM BOTH SIDES

OF THE HUDSON RIVER RESPONDED TO A BOAT

IN DISTRESS SATURDAY EVENING. THE 17

FOOT VESSEL WAS DISABLED AND DRIFTING,

ABOUT TWO MILES SOUTH OF THE HUDSON

RIVER. THE BOAT HAD ONE PERSON ON BOARD,

WITH NO RADIO AND NO FUEL.

A 32 YEAR OLD MAN WAS INJURED SATURDAY

NIGHT, IN A ONE CAR ACCIDENT IN KISKATOM.

THE CRASH WAS ON ROUTE 32 JUST AFTER 10.

THERE WERE OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE

WEEKEND IN JEFFERSON HEIGHTS, CATSKILL.

ON THE THRUWAY IN COXSACKIE AND NEW

BALTIMORE, AND ON FARM ROAD IN COPAKE.

A PICKUP RECEIVED HEAVY DAMAGE SATURDAY

AFTERNOON, AFTER CATCHING FIRE IN

GREENPORT. IT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 1

ON ROUTE 9G.

CRARYVILLE FIREFIGHTERS WERE ALSO

CALLED TO A VEHICLE FIRE SATURDAY, ON

ROUTE 23 NEAR COUNTY ROUTE 11.
