A KINDERHOOK MAN DIED SATURDAY NIGHT,

AFTER HIS ATV STRUCK A TREE IN THE TOWN

OF CHATHAM. STATE POLICE SAY, 27 YEAR OLD

BRANDON PITCHER WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT

THE SCENE, ON BUSHNELL ROAD. HE WAS NOT

WEARING A HELMET.

IT WAS ANOTHER VERY BUSY WEEKEND FOR

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS, RESPONDING TO

A NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS ACROSS THE AREA.

IN GREENE COUNTY, ON ROUTE 23 IN ASHLAND,

MAPLE AVENUE IN CATSKILL, AND ROUTE 32

IN KISKATOM.

IN COLUMBIA COUNTY, ON FAIRVIEW AVENUE

IN GREENPORT,COUNTY ROUTE 22 IN GHENT,

AND WOLF HILL ROAD IN HILLSDALE.

FIRE SATURDAY EVENING DESTROYED A

GARAGE IN STUYVESANT, AND THE VEHICLES

INSIDE. 15 FIRE COMPANIES WERE EITHER

ON THE SCENE, OR STOOD-BY FOR OTHER

COMPANIES, DURING THE CALL AT 395

COUNTY ROUTE 46. ONE FIREFIGHTER WAS

EVALUATED BY PARAMEDICS. A HOME ON

THE PROPERTY HAD MINOR DAMAGE.

QUICK WORK BY HUDSON FIREFIGHTERS,

CONTAINED A FIRE SATURDAY NIGHT TO

A SECOND FLOOR BATHROOM. UNITS

WERE CALLED TO 8 UNION STREET AROUND

11:45. THE CAUSE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

A CATSKILL MAN IS ACCUSED OF DRIVING

A STOLEN CAR, AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP

ON 3RD STREET IN HUDSON. 37 YEAR OLD

JOHN WALKER WAS CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY AND

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN GHENT ENDED

WITH A TOWN MAN UNDER ARREST. 30 YEAR

OLD BENJAMIN WEAVER WAS CHARGED BY

STATE POLICE WITH FELONY STRANGULATION

AND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF.
