AN ANCRAM MAN IS IN THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL ON SEVERAL FELONY CHARGES,

FROM INCIDENTS EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

STATE POLICE SAY, 56 YEAR OLD HENRY

HARASYMCZUK BROKE INTO A MAN'S HOME,

AND FORCED THE MAN TO DRIVE HIM TO A

SECOND LOCATION WHERE HE SET A

CAMPER AND A BARN ON FIRE. POLICE

ARRESTED HIM AFTER A SEARCH ALONG

COUNTY ROUTE 3, WHERE HE WAS LOCATED

WITH NO CLOTHING ON. HE'S BEING HELD

WITHOUT BAIL.

A VIOLENT DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN

CLERMONT, ENDED WITH THE ARREST OF

AN ELIZAVILLE MAN. 58 YEAR OLD

JOSEPH HANSEN WAS CHARGED BY STATE

POLICE WITH ASSAULT, MENACING,

UNLAWFUL IMPRISONMENT, CRIMINAL

MISCHIEF, AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A WEAPON.

WE HOPE TO GET MORE INFORMATION

TODAY, ON THE ARREST OF A MAN, THAT

ALLEGEDLY CRASHED INTO THREE PARKED

CARS IN ATHENS, AND LEAVING THE SCENE.

ONE OF THOSE CARS HAD OVER 11,000

DOLLARS IN DAMAGE, AND HAD TO BE

TOTALED. THE GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S

OFFICE SAYS THEY LOCATED THE MAN

LAST NIGHT.

A CHATHAM MAN IS ACCUSED OF

INTENTIONALLY STRIKING ANOTHER

VEHICLE ON ROUTE 295 IN EAST

CHATHAM, WITH TWO OCCUPANTS

INSIDE. 46 YEAR OLD ROBERT

LAGERWALL WAS CHARGED BY

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES

WITH RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT AND

RECKLESS DRIVING.

STATE FOREST RANGERS WERE CALLED

TO ASSIST A SWIMMER, WHO BECAME

INJURED, IN THE MIDDLE POOL

AT KAATERSKILL FALLS. THE 45

YEAR OLD FROM ORANGE COUNTY, WAS

GIVEN FIRST AID, AND ESCORTED

BACK TO THE TRAILHEAD.

THE LATEST JOB NUMBERS ARE OUT

AND COLUMBIA COUNTY LEADS THE STATE

AGAIN WITH THE LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT

NUMBERS, AT 2.8 PERCENT. GREENE

COUNTY CAME IN AT 3.6 PERCENT.
