A WANTED FELON FROM TEXAS IS IN THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL, AFTER HE WAS SPOTTED

BY HUDSON POLICE IN THE AREA OF BLISS

TOWERS. POLICE SAY, 28 YEAR OLD XAVIER

ANDERSON FACES ADDITIONAL CHARGES, FOR

RESISTING ARREST AND BEING IN POSSESSION

OF COCAINE. HE'S WANTED IN TEXAS ON A

PAROLE VIOLATION.

HUNTER MOUNTAIN IS BEING SOLD AGAIN.

PEAK RESORTS, THE COMPANY THAT BOUGHT

HUNTER IN 2015 HAS COMPLETED A DEAL,

WHERE 17 OF THEIR SKI AREAS WILL BE

A CHATHAM WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED, AFTER

AN ACCIDENT LAST WEEK ON ROUTE 9 IN

NIVERVILLE. 25 YEAR OLD CAMEO CLARK WAS

CHARGED WITH DWAI-DRUGS AND ALCOHOL,

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE, AND DRINKING ALCOHOL IN A

MOTOR VEHICLE.

IT WAS A FALLEN TREE, THAT BLOCKED BOTH

LANES OF ROUTE 9G IN GREENPORT YESTERDAY

AFTERNOON. IT HAPPENED IN THE AREA OF

MIDDLE ROAD AROUND 5.GREENPORT FIRE AND

DPW CREWS RESPONDED.

CAT DECLAWING IS NOW BANNED IN NEW

YORK STATE. THE LAW WAS SIGNED YESTERDAY

BY THE GOVERNOR AND TOOK EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.

NEW YORK IS THE FIRST STATE IN THE

COUNTRY TO BAN THE PROCEDURE.
