MULTIPLE FIRE COMPANIES RESPONDED TO A

STRUCTURE FIRE LAST NIGHT IN THE TOWN

OF CHATHAM. CREWS WERE CALLED TO

GREENBROOK DRIVE, JUST OFF ROUTE 66 IN

MALDEN BRIDGE, AROUND 9:45.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE SCENE OF

TWO SERIOUS ACCIDENTS THIS WEEKEND ON ROUTE

145 IN EAST DURHAM. THE FIRST WAS NEAR

MCSTINE LANE SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE SECOND

WAS NEAR BROWN ROAD SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

A 28 YEAR OLD MAN WAS INJURED SUNDAY

AFTERNOON, IN A TWO CAR ACCIDENT IN

GERMANTOWN. IT HAPPENED JUST JUST

BEFORE 1:30 ON DALE'S BRIDGE ROAD.

AREA FIRE COMPANIES AND POWER

COMPANIES WERE KEPT BUSY SATURDAY,

AS A LONG LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVED

ACROSS GREENE AND COLUMBIA COUNTIES.

CLOSE TO A THOUSAND WERE WITHOUT

POWER, IN SCATTERED OUTAGES.

GREENE COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS WERE ON

THE SCENE OF TWO ELECTRICAL FIRES

SATURDAY. THE FIRST WAS ON COUNTY

ROUTE 51 IN NEW BALTIMORE. THE SECOND

ON ROUTE 385 IN COXSACKIE.

A RENSSELAER COUNTY WOMAN WAS ARRESTED

ON FELONY CHARGES, AFTER STATE POLICE

WERE CALLED TO THE MIDTOWN MALL ON

ROUTE 20 IN NEW LEBANON. 36 YEAR OLD

VICTORIA ZINNA WAS CHARGED WITH GRAND

LARCENY AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF

A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. SHE WAS HELD

AFTER BEING CHARGED.

AN ALBANY WOMAN IS ACCUSED OF TRYING TO

BRING DRUGS INTO THE GREENE CORRECTIONAL

FACILITY OVER THE WEEKEND. 32 YEAR OLD

ESSENCE HARRIS WAS HELD BY STATE POLICE

AFTER HER ARREST.

IT WAS AN APPLIANCE FIRE THAT BROUGHT

NIVERVILLE FIREFIGHTERS TO 66 GRANDVIEW

DRIVE LAST NIGHT. THE CALL CAME IN JUST

BEFORE 10:30.
