FIRE LAST NIGHT CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE

TO THE TIVOLI FIREHOUSE. THE CALL

FIRST CAME IN AROUND 10. WHEN FIREFIGHTERS

ARRIVED, FLAMES WERE SHOOTING FROM THE

FRONT OF THE BUILDING. ONE TRUCK WAS

SAVED. ANOTHER TRUCK AND AMBULANCE WERE

DAMAGED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE

CAUSE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

CATSKILL FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A

HOME ON SOUTH JEFFERSON AVENUE LAST NIGHT,

AFTER A CALLER REPORTED THAT A TREE

BROUGHT WIRES DOWN ON A HOME, AND IT WAS

BURNING. UNITS RESPONDED JUST BEFORE 11:30.

IT WAS A STOVE FIRE THAT BROUGHT SEVERAL

FIRE COMPANIES TO A HOME AT 19 DIVISION

STREET IN HUNTER YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.

THE CALL CAME IN JUST AFTER 5:30. WE'RE

TOLD THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT QUICKLY.

A 62 YEAR OLD MAN WAS INJURED FRIDAY

AFTERNOON, WHEN HIS CAR STRUCK A BEAR

IN CATSKILL. IT HAPPENED ON ROUTE 32

NEAR THE FORMER CARSON CITY.

A TWO CAR ACCIDENT ABOUT A MILE UP

THE ROAD LEFT A 51 YEAR OLD WOMAN

INJURED FRIDAY. THAT CRASH WAS ON ROUTE

32 AT HEARTS CONTENT ROAD

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE

SCENE OF A SERIOUS ACCIDENT YESTERDAY

AFTERNOON IN ATHENS. THE CRASH WAS

ON SCHOHARIE TURNPIKE NEAR PHEASANT

LANE AROUND 4.

A CATSKILL WOMAN WILL SPEND THE

NEXT 4 AND A HALF YEARS IN

PRISON, FOR SELLING COCAINE.

BRITANY DERR PLEAD GUILTY LAST

MONTH IN GREENE COUNTY COURT.

SHE WAS ARRESTED IN A MARCH DRUG

RAID ON MAIN STREET.

THE HUDSON FIRE DEPARTMENT WANTS

THE PUBLIC TO KNOW, THEY WILL BE

DOING TRAINING TOMORROW MORNING

IN THE BUILDINGS SCHEDULED TO

BE TORN DOWN, NEXT TO STEWARTS

ON FAIRVIEW AVENUE. THE STREETS

WILL REMAIN OPEN, BUT IT WOULD BE

A GOOD IDEA TO AVOID THE AREA.

INDEPENDENCE DAY WILL BE CELEBRATED

THIS MORNING IN EAST DURHAM. THE

ANNUAL PARADE GETS UNDERWAY AT 11

ALONG ROUTE 145.

THERE ARE TWO COMMUNITIES HOLDING

FIREWORKS TONIGHT. GERMANTOWN

AND EAST DURHAM WILL BOTH HAVE

LIGHT SHOWS STARTING AT DUSK.
