AMTRAK PASSENGERS AT THE HUDSON TRAIN

STATION, MAY SEE MORE SECURITY THAN

NORMAL THIS AFTERNOON. THE STATE DIVISION

OF HOMELAND SECURITY SAYS THE OPERATION

N Y SECURE DRILL WILL INCLUDE MULTIPLE

POLICE AGENCIES, EMERGENCY SERVICES,

AND AMTRAK SECURITY. THE 2PM DRILL IS

SCHEDULED AT ALL AMTRAK STATIONS IN

THE EMPIRE CORRIDOR.

AHEAD OF THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND,

ROAD AND BRIDGE PROJECTS ON STATE

HIGHWAYS HAS BEEN SUSPENDED. THE

GOVERNOR'S OFFICE SAYS SOME WORK MAY

CONTINUE BEHIND CONCRETE BARRIERS.

THE SUSPENSION WILL LAST UNTIL MONDAY

MORNING.

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL

AFTER A THREE CAR ACCIDENT IN STOCKPORT

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. THE CRASH HAPPENED

AROUND 3:15 ON ROUTE 9 NEAR SCHOOL ROAD.

A 10 YEAR OLD GIRL WAS INJURED YESTERDAY

AFTERNOON IN CATSKILL, WHEN SHE WAS STRUCK

BY A CAR. IT HAPPENED AT THE INTERSECTION

OF MAIN AND BRIDGE STREETS. CATSKILL

POLICE INVESTIGATED.

TWO AREA RESIDENTS FACE CHARGES FROM

SEPARATE DOMESTIC INCIDENTS. 19 YEAR

OLD DUANE WALCOTT OF EAST DURHAM WAS

CHARGED WITH MENACING AND AGGRAVATED

HARASSMENT. AND ANDREA MANNINO OF

GERMANTOWN WAS CHARGED WITH ASSAULT.

BOTH HAVE SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCES.

AFTER BEING CALLED TO THE VALATIE

HANNAFORD, FOR REPORTS OF DRUG USE

IN A CAR, A PHILMONT MAN FACES

CHARGES. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS 60 YEAR OLD

AARON WILLIAMS WAS IN POSSESSION

OF COCAINE. HE'LL ANSWER THE

CHARGES IN KINDERHOOK TOWN COURT.
