A SERIOUS ACCIDENT CLOSED ROUTE 32 IN

KISKATOM SUNDAY AFTERNOON. WE'RE TOLD

THE CRASH INVOLVED A MOTORCYCLE, IN THE

AREA OF CAUTERSKILL ROAD AROUND 3:30.

WE HOPE TO LEARN MORE FROM STATE POLICE

TODAY.

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL

SUNDAY MORNING, AFTER THEY WERE STRUCK

BY A CAR IN THE SHOP RITE PARKING LOT

IN GREENPORT. THE ACCIDENT WAS JUST AFTER

10. THE PERSON'S INJURIES WERE NOT LIFE

THREATENING.

OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND WERE

ON STATE FARM ROAD IN NIVERVILLE AND

MINEU ROAD IN LEXINGTON.

AN INCIDENT JUNE 10TH IN THE TOWN OF

NEW BALTIMORE HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST

OF A CLIMAX WOMAN. 28 YEAR OLD TARA

DROBNER WAS CHARGED BY STATE POLICE

OVER THE WEEKEND WITH FELONY ASSAULT

AND ACTING IN A MANNER TO INJURE A CHILD.

SHE WAS RELEASED, PENDING A COURT

APPEARANCE.

A NORTH CAROLINA MAN WAS TAKEN TO

THE DUTCHESS COUNTY JAIL, AFTER A

TRAFFIC STOP ON THE PARKWAY, JUST SOUTH

OF THE COLUMBIA COUNTY LINE. STATE

POLICE SAY, 26 YEAR OLD JOSE BERMUDEZ

WAS IN POSSESSION OF COCAINE AND A

LOADED FIREARM. HE ALSO HAS A LONG

LIST OF VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC CHARGES.

FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A HOME

ON ROUTE 32 IN THE TOWN OF CATSKILL

SATURDAY EVENING. A CALLER TOLD GREENE

COUNTY 9 1 1 THAT HIS NEIGHBOR'S

HOUSE WAS ON FIRE. NO WORD ON THE

EXTENT OF DAMAGE.

IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE THAT BROUGHT

HUDSON FIREMEN TO BLISS TOWERS LAST NIGHT.

THE CALL CAME IN AROUND 11:15.

PARKING ON MAIN STREET IN CATSKILL

IS RESTRICTED THIS MORNING. DPW CREWS

ARE CLEANING AND RE-STRIPING ALL EVEN

SIDE PARKING SPACES BETWEEN SUMMIT AVENUE

AND GREEN STREET. THERE IS NO PARKING ON

THAT SIDE UNTIL NOON.

STATE POLICE ARE OUT IN FORCE FOR

THE JULY 4TH HOLIDAY. THEY SAY,

THEY'LL BE TARGETING DRUNK, DRUGGED,

AND AGRESSIVE DRIVERS. THEY WILL

ALSO BE DOING SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS.

THE ENFORCEMENT RUNS THROUGH FRIDAY.
