A FRAUD INVESTIGATION THAT BEGAN IN

MARCH IN GHENT, HAS LEAD TO THE

ARREST OF A TOWN MAN. 24 YEAR OLD

JAMES CONNOLY WAS CHARGED BY STATE

POLICE WITH FORGERY AND PETIT LARCENY.

A PHILMONT LARCENY INVESTIGATION HAS

A VILLAGE MAN FACING FELONY CHARGES.

23 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER LOUISE WAS

ARRESTED ON CHURCH STREET AND

CHARGED WITH GRAND LARCENY OF A

CREDIT CARD, AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.

TWO TEENS AT THE BERKSHIRE FARMS

GROUP HOME IN NIVERVILLE WERE ARRESTED

BY STATE POLICE. THE 17 AND 15 YEAR

OLD FEMALES WERE CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL

TRESPASS, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, AND

PETIT LARCENY. THE 15 YEAR OLD IS

ALSO ACCUSED OF HAVING A STOLEN

CREDIT CARD. BOTH WERE GIVEN APPEARANCE

TICKETS FOR COURT.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE CALLED TO

TWO INCIDENTS IN THE EASTBOUND LANES OF

THE THRUWAY THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE TOWN

OF CHATHAM. THE FIRST WAS A VEHICLE FIRE

AROUND 3:15. THE SECOND WAS A TWO CAR

ACCIDENT AROUND 4:45.

PART OF ROUTE 66 IN GHENT CLOSES

TODAY. THE BRIDGE OVER THE KLINE KILL

WILL BE REPLACED OVER THE NEXT TWO

MONTHS. DETOURS WILL TAKE MOTORISTS

OVER COUNTY ROUTE 9. THE ROAD WILL

RE-OPEN FOR THE COLUMBIA COUNTY FAIR.

AN OVER-STOCKED TRACTOR TRAILER HAS

LEAD TO THE DONATION OF 1600 POUNDS OF

FROZEN CHICKEN TO THE ROCK SOLID

CHURCH IN HUDSON. HUDSON POLICE REPORTED,

THAT THE TRUCKING COMPANY CALLED THEM,

SAYING THAT A LOCAL STORE WAS NOT

WILLING TO TAKE THE EXTRA INVENTORY,

AND WANTED TO KNOW WHO COULD USE IT.

A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH HAPPENED TO

BE AT THE POLICE STATION, AT THE

TIME OF THE CALL.

IT'S GRADUATION WEEKEND IN GREENE

AND COLUMBIA COUNTIES. CEREMONIES WILL
