NATIONAL GRID CREWS HAVE BEEN WORKING

EARLY THIS MORNING, ON TWO POWER OUTAGES

IN COLUMBIA COUNTY, THAT HAVE LEFT

CLOSE TO 3000 PEOPLE IN THE DARK. THE

LARGER ONE IS IN THE LIVINGSTON AREA.

THE SECOND ONE IN THE TOWN OF CLAVERACK.

THEY HOPE TO HAVE THE POWER BACK THIS

MORNING.

COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF DAVID BARTLETT

CONFIRMED LAST NIGHT, THAT THERE HAVE BEEN

ARRESTS MADE IN YESTERDAY MORNING'S SHED

FIRE AT A NIVERVILLE GROUP HOME. SEVERAL

FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE CALLED TO THE KINDERHOF

ON ROUTE 203 JUST BEFORE 11. THE FIRE WAS

PUT OUT QUICKLY. A PRESS RELEASE IS EXPECTED

TODAY.

A CATSKILL MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE GREENE

COUNTY JAIL, AFTER HIS ARREST ON FELONY

CHARGES, FROM AN INCIDENT IN THE VILLAGE

JUNE 4TH. 25 YEAR OLD JOSEPH FERRO WAS

CHARGED BY CATSKILL POLICE WITH BURGLARY

OF A DWELLING, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, AND

ASSAULT.

AFTER BEING CALLED TO A DOMESTIC INCIDENT

IN THE TOWN OF CAIRO, A SOUTH CAIRO MAN

FACES A LONG LIST OF CHARGES. THE 18

YEAR OLD WAS CHARGED BY STATE POLICE WITH

TWO COUNTS OF GRAND LARCENY, IDENTITY

THEFT, AND AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT. HE'S

BEING HELD ON 5000 DOLLARS BAIL.

A HUDSON MAN IS ACCUSED OF PUNCHING

A WOMAN IN THE HEAD AND STEALING HER CELL

PHONE. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S

OFFICE SAYS IT HAPPENED AT A PRIVATE

RESIDENCE IN STOCKPORT. 37 YEAR OLD

RENELDO HARRINGTON WILL ANSWER THE CHARGES

IN COURT.

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA

MEMORIAL, AFTER A TWO CAR ACCIDENT

MONDAY MORNING IN CANAAN. THE CRASH WAS

JUST BEFORE 8:30 ON ROUTE 295.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ON THE

SCENE OF TWO ELECTRICAL FIRES LAST NIGHT.

THE FIRST WAS ON CAIRO JUNCTION ROAD

IN LEEDS. THE SECOND WAS ON COUNTY

ROUTE 27 IN TAGHKANIC.

THE PILOT KILLED YESTERDAY, WHEN HIS

HELICOPTER CRASHED ON THE TOP OF A

BUILDING IN MANHATTAN, WAS FROM

CENTRAL DUTCHESS COUNTY. TIMOTHY

MACORMACK WAS FIRE CHIEF FOR THE

CLINTON CORNERS FIRE DEPARTMENT. HE'S

BEEN A PILOT SINCE 2004.
