A HORSE OWNER IN GREENE COUNTY HAS

BEEN CHARGED WITH FAILING TO PROVIDE

SUSTENANCE, AFTER TWO OF HIS HORSES WERE

FOUND WITH TEN INCH HOOVES. ONE OF THE HORSES

WAS UNABLE TO STAND. STATE ENCON OFFICERS

AND THE COLUMBIA-GREENE HUMANE SOCIETY

WERE AT THE HOME ON ROUTE 145 IN EAST

DURHAM AFTER RECEIVING A TIP THAT THE HORSES

WERE NEGLECTED.

A NASSAU PHARMACIST HAS BEEN FINED

100,000 DOLLARS FOR BILLING MEDICARE AND

MEDICAID FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS THAT

WERE NEVER DISPENSED. THE U.S. ATTORNEY'S

OFFICE SAYS OWNER CATHY GROSSMAN HAD

PLEAD GUILTY TO THE CHARGES. THIS CASE

TOOK PLACE FROM 2010 TO 2017.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN CAIRO ENDED WITH

DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE.
