AN INMATE AT THE HUDSON CORRECTIONAL

FACILITY IS FACING SEVERAL FELONY

CHARGES, FROM INCIDENTS AT THE PRISON

IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH. STATE POLICE

CHARGED THE 17 YEAR OLD WITH ASSAULT,

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT, AND PROMOTING

PRISON CONTRABAND. FOLLOWING ARRAIGNMENT,

HE WAS RETURNED TO PRISON.

A COXSACKIE MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH

FLEEING AN OFFICER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE

BY STATE POLICE. 55 YEAR OLD JOHN

DESHAW WAS EVENTUALLY STOPPED BY POLICE

ON COUNTY ROUTE 26. HE WAS ALSO CHARGED

WITH DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE.

AFTER BEING CALLED TO A DOMESTIC INCIDENT

IN CATSKILL, A NEW YORK CITY MAN IS

BEHIND BARS. 59 YEAR OLD FRANCO BASSO

WAS CHARGED BY POLICE WITH BEING A

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE. HE WAS HELD AFTER

BEING CHARGED.

A GUILTY PLEA IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT

FRIDAY, FROM A STUYVESANT MAN THAT FIRED

A RIFLE INSIDE A HOME DURING A DOMESTIC

INCIDENT LAST AUGUST. 31 YEAR OLD KEVIN

HABERLAND PLEAD GUILTY TO RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT.

HE'S SCHEDULED TO BE SENTENCED IN JULY.

A MOTORCYCLE OPERATOR WAS TAKEN TO

COLUMBIA MEMORIAL SATURDAY EVENING, AFTER

COLLIDING WITH A CAR IN GERMANTOWN.

THE ACCIDENT WAS JUST AFTER 6 ON MAIN

STREET NEAR HOVER AVENUE.

OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND THAT

BROUGHT AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE, WERE ON

GERMANS HILL ROAD IN CAIRO, JEFFERSON

HEIGHTS IN CATSKILL, AND ROUTE 9G IN

GREENPORT.

THE OWNER OF A 6 FOOT ALLIGATOR,

THAT WAS TAKEN FROM A RESIDENCE ON

CEMETERY ROAD IN NEW LEBANON LAST

WEEK, HAS POSTED A 2000 DOLLAR REWARD

FOR THE PERSON THAT RETURNS THE REPTILE.

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

CONTINUES TO INVESTIGATE THE BREAK-IN.
