AN INCIDENT ON ALLEN STREET IN HUDSON

SUNDAY NIGHT. POLICE CHIEF EDWARD MOORE

SAYS THEY WERE CALLED FOR REPORTS OF

A MAN, WHO WAS REPORTEDLY COVERED IN

BLOOD, THREATENING THREE WOMEN WITH

A KNIFE.

THE THREE WOMEN TURNED OUT TO BE

BOUNTY HUNTERS, LOOKING TO TAKE THE

MAN BACK TO TENNESSEE. AND THE BLOOD

TURNED OUT TO BE SOME SORT OF POWDER

FROM A PEPPER SPRAY BOMB. THE MAN

WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, AND HELD AT

THE HUDSON POLICE STATION.

FIVE FIRE COMPANIES WERE CALLED TO

CHATHAM MANOR APARTMENTS MONDAY

MORNING, AFTER THE FIRST FLOOR

BEGAN FILLING WITH SMOKE. FIRST

UNITS ON THE SCENE TRACED THE SMOKE

TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM. FIRE OFFICIALS

REPORT, THE PROBLEM WAS A MALFUNCTIONING

WASHING MACHINE.

WINDHAM FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO A

HOME ON ROUTE 23 NEAR SOUTH STREET

YESTERDAY MORNING. THE CALLER REPORTED

THAT THE BACK OF THE HOUSE WAS ON

FIRE, AND HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET

EVERYONE OUT. NO WORD THIS MORNING ON

THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE.

FIVE WOMEN WERE ARRESTED OVER THE

WEEKEND, FOR ALLEGEDLY TRING TO BRING

DRUGS INTO THE GREENE AND COXSACKIE

PRISONS. THOSE CHARGED BY STATE POLICE

INCLUDE:

ALISIA ARTHUR OF COXSACKIE

CAROL BISHOP OF ALBANY

TAMIEKA HUNT OF SCHENECTADY

SABREAH BENJAMIN OF DEER PARK

AND CARMEN GONZALES OF CENTER SQUARE.

LEEDS FIRE AND CATSKILL AMBULANCE WERE

ON THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT MONDAY.

THE CALL CAME IN AROUND 12:45 ON ROUTE

23 AT FIVE MILE WOODS ROAD.

FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A BRUSH

FIRE LAST NIGHT ON ROUTE 66 IN GHENT. AN

AREA WAS BLACKENED NEAR TACONIC PLACE

JUST AFTER 10:30.
