A CONNECTICUT MAN DIED SATURDAY NIGHT,

IN A TWO CAR ACCIDENT IN CRARYVILLE.

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

SAYS A CAR, DRIVEN BY 42 YEAR OLD

JAMIE WING CROSSED THE CENTER LINE ON

ROUTE 23 AND STRUCK ANOTHER CAR. HE WAS

PRONOUNCED DEAD AT COLUMBIA MEMORIAL.

THE OTHER DRIVER, 28 YEAR OLD HARLE

EDWARDS OF CRARYVILLE WAS TAKEN TO

ALBANY MED.

FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS WERE ALSO ON

THE SCENE OF ACCIDENTS SUNDAY EVENING

ON THE THRUWAY IN GREENE COUNTY AND

ON COUNTY ROUTE 22 IN STOCKPORT.

WINTER RETURNED TO GREENE COUNTY

SUNDAY. WHILE MOST OF US WERE GETTING

RAIN,IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IS WAS

COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW. SEVERAL INCHES

ACCUMULATED, AND CONTINUED INTO LAST

NIGHT.

GREENE COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS WERE ON

THE SCENE OF TWO VEHICLE FIRES OVER THE

WEEKEND IN CATSKILL. ON SATURDAY, IT WAS

IN THE EASTBOUND LANES OF ROUTE 23.

ON SUNDAY IS WAS IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANES

OF THE THRUWAY, NORTH OF EXIT 21.

ROADWORK IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN THIS

WEEK IN COXSACKIE. STATE D O T SAYS

1.1 MILES OF ROUTE 9W IN COXSACKIE

WILL BE WORKED ON BETWEEN MANSION

STREET AND THE THRUWAY OVERPASS.

THE RUNWAY AT THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

AIRPORT IS CLOSING FOR A MONTH,

STARTING TODAY. THE MAINTENANCE

WORK WILL INCLUDE PAVEMENT MARKINGS

AND RUNWAY LIGHTING. THE RUNWAY

IS EXPECTED TO REOPEN JUNE 11TH.

CONGRESSMAN ANTONIO DELGADO WILL

BE IN COLUMBIA COUNTY TODAY, HOLDING

MOBILE OFFICE HOURS. VOTERS ARE

WELCOME TO MEET WITH HIM AT THE ROE-JAN
