FOUR PEOPLE ARE IN THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY JAIL, FOLLOWING A VIOLENT HOME

INVASION IN CANAAN. STATE POLICE SAY,

ZILLA KELLY OF NEW LEBANON, ELIZABETH

JENNINGS OF STUYVESANT, TOMAS SIMPSON

OF CHATHAM, AND JAQUAN HAMILTON OF

EAST GREENBUSH FACE FELONY CHARGES.

THE ASSAULT VICTIM WAS TREATED BY

CHATHAM RESCUE. THE INCIDENT

HAPPENED ON PEACEFUL VALLEY ROAD.

TWO PHILMONT RESIDENTS ARE UNDER

ARREST, AFTER A DISTURBANCE IN

THE VILLAGE. 64 YEAR OLD'S JEFFREY

EXLINE AND MARION HANNAH WERE

CHARGED WITH OBSTRUCTION AND

DISORDERLY CONDUCT. EXLINE WAS

ALSO CHARGED WITH RESISTING ARREST.

A VIRGINIA MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE

GREENE COUNTY JAIL, ACCUSED OF

HAVING A STOLEN CAR. 33 YEAR OLD

JAMES LUNA WAS STOPPED BY STATE

POLICE ON ROUTE 9W IN CATSKILL.

HE'S CHARGED WITH GRAND LARCENY.

ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO ALBANY

MED, AFTER CRASHING INTO A

UTILITY POLE IN NIVERVILLE.

THE ACCIDENT WAS JUST AFTER 5

ON THE CONCOURSE. WE'RE TOLD,

SPEED MAY HAVE BEEN A FACTOR.

COPAKE FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED

TO A HOME ON COUNTY ROUTE 7

SATURDAY EVENING, AFTER A HEAT

LAMP FELL INTO AN ANIMAL PEN,

SPARKING A FIRE. THE FIRE WAS

PUT OUT QUICKLY. FIREMEN WERE

BACK IN SERVICE AFTER 15 MINUTES.

A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

WILL BE HELD THIS EVENING IN

CATSKILL AT RICKY CRAMER FIELD

IN JEFFERSON HEIGHTS, TO CELEBRATE

THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW

PLAYGROUND BY THE FORTNIGHTLY

CLUB. IT TAKES PLACE AT 6.

THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL

CONSERVATION WILL HOLD A JOINT

PRESS CONFERENCE WITH SCENIC HUDSON

THIS MORNING IN COLUMBIA COUNTY.

IT TAKES PLACE AT 10:30, ON LAND

OFF ALVORD DOCK ROAD IN THE TOWN

OF STOCKPORT.
