A GREENPORT MAN WAS HELD BY POLICE

AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP ON ROUTE 23

IN COPAKE. 29 YEAR OLD JAMES COXON

WAS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, AND

OPERATOR IMPAIRED BY DRUGS. POLICE

SAY, THEY RECOVERED A QUANTITY OF

COCAINE.

A NEW YORK CITY WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO

THE GREENE COUNTY JAIL AFTER HER

ARREST AT THE GREENE CORRECTIONAL

FACILITY. STATE POLICE CHARGED

WENDY VELEZ WITH INTRODUCING

DANGEROUS CONTRABAND INTO PRISON,

AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED

SUBSTANCE WITH INTENT TO SELL.
