GREENPORT FIRE AND RESCUE WERE ON THE

SCENE OF TWO ACCIDENTS FRIDAY. THE

FIRST WAS JUST BEFORE 8AM ON HEALY

BOULEVARD. ONE WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO

COLUMBIA MEMORIAL. AROUND 5PM ON

ROUTE 66. THREE PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO

THE HOSPITAL FROM THAT ONE.

HUDSON FIRE WAS CALLED TO A ONE CAR

ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT ON COLUMBIA

TURNPIKE. A MINI-VAN STRUCK A

UTILITY POLE JUST AFTER 7. A WOMAN

WAS INJURED IN THE CRASH. CABLE

WAS KNOCKED OUT TO A LARGE AREA.

TWO HUDSON RESIDENTS, INDICTED ON

FELONY DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES,

PLEAD GUILTY FRIDAY IN COLUMBIA

COUNTY COURT. THE TWO WERE IN

POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE,

WITH INTENT TO SELL. SENTENCING

FOR MICHAEL ELIE AND PAULA LORD

IS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 31ST.

ALSO IN COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT,

HEATHER WOOD OF RAVENA WAS SENTENCED

FOR THE JULY BREAK-IN OF A LIVINGSTON

HOME. SHE WAS GIVEN FIVE YEARS

PROBATION, AND WILL HAVE TO PAY BACK

727 DOLLARS.

TWO GREENPORT RESIDENTS FACE CHILD

ENDANGERMENT CHARGES, AFTER THEIR

ARREST BY STATE POLICE. 24 YEAR OLD

DAKOTA SANDAGATO AND 25 YEAR OLD

JEFFREY BLAKE ALLEGEDLY POSSESSED

AND USED DRUGS IN THEIR FAIRVIEW

AVENUE RESIDENCE, WITH CHILDREN

PRESENT. BOTH WILL ANSWER THE

CHARGES IN TOWN COURT.

A GREENPORT WOMAN IS ACCUSED OF

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION IN

THE VILLAGE OF PHILMONT. THE COLUMBIA

COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CHARGED 25

YEAR OLD CRYSTAL BELL WITH CRIMINAL

CONTEMPT. SHE'LL ANSWER THE CHARGES

IN COURT.

FIREMEN MADE QUICK WORK OF A

FIRE IN ATHENS FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

THE CALL CAME IN AROUND 4 AT

1321 SCHOHARIE TURNPIKE. THE FIRE

WAS REPORTED TO BE OUT A SHORT

TIME LATER. THE TOWN'S CODE

ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WAS CALLED

TO THE SCENE.
