A GAS LEAK FORCED THE EVACUATION OF A

HUDSON BUILDING LAST NIGHT. CITY

FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE GOT THE

OCCUPANTS OUT OF 331 ALLEN STREET,

JUST BEFORE 9. NATIONAL GRID WAS

ALSO ON THE SCENE. THERE WERE NO

REPORTED INJURIES.

THE GREENE COUNTY HAZ-MAT TEAM

AND WINDHAM FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO

WINDHAM ASHLAND JEWETT SCHOOL TUESDAY

MORNING. FIRE OFFICIALS SAY, A

GARBAGE TRUCK ACCIDENTALLY CLIPPED A

CONCRETE POLE AND SPILLED OVER 50

GALLONS OF HYDRAULIC FLUIDS IN A

REAR PARKING LOT. CLASSES AT THE

SCHOOL WERE NOT AFFECTED.

IT TOOK NEARLY EIGHT HOURS TO RESCUE

A HIKER, WHO INJURED HIS LEG ON THE

ESCARPMENT TRAIL IN WINDHAM. STATE

DEC OFFICERS ALONG WITH FIRE, POLICE,

AND RESCUE UNITS CARRIED THE 64 YEAR

OLD MAN OUT OF THE WOODS, WHERE HE

WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.

A LARCENY INVESTIGATION FROM DECEMBER

IN THE TOWN OF CATSKILL, HAS A

HANNACROIX WOMAN CHARGED WITH GRAND

LARCENY. STATE POLICE REPORT, 71 YEAR

OLD CASSANDRA CHANNING HAS A SCHEDULED

COURT APPEARANCE.

A SEPARATE LARCENY INVESTIGATION FROM

DECEMBER ENDED WITH A GREENVILLE MAN

UNDER ARREST. 41 YEAR OLD RONALD

RIFENBURGH WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH

GRAND LARCENY, AND GIVEN APPEARANCE

TICKETS FOR COURT.

A GHENT MAN WHO HIT A HOUSE, WHILE

SHOOTING A DEER LAST DECEMBER,

PLEAD GUILTY IN COLUMBIA COUNTY

COURT TO ATTEMPTED RECKLESS

ENDANGERMENT. SENTENCING FOR 37 YEAR

OLD WILLIAM BALDWIN THE 3RD WILL BE

HELD APRIL 25TH.

THE HUDSON MAN, THAT TURNED A FIRE

EXTINGUISHER ON CITY POLICE, AFTER

BREAKING INTO THE WARREN STREET CVS,

WAS SENTENCED YESTERDAY. 23 YEAR

OLD BRANDON KIPP GOT PROBATION,

COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND WILL HAVE TO

PAY BACK 1100 DOLLARS.

A PUBLIC MEETING ON THE EMPIRE STATE

TRAIL, WHERE IT USES ROADS THROUGH

HUDSON AND GREENPORT, WILL TAKE PLACE

TONIGHT. THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF

TRANSPORTATION HOSTS THE MEETING AT

COLUMBIA GREENE COMMUNITY COLLEGE

BEGINNING AT 6.
