HAS ISSUED A RABIES ALERT FOR THE

COUNTY. THEY REPORT THAT SIX OUT OF

SEVEN RACCOONS HAVE TESTED POSITIVE

OVER THE PAST NINE WEEKS. THEY SAY

OTHER ANIMALS TO BE CAREFUL AROUND

ARE SKUNKS, FOXES, AND FERAL CATS.

ANY POTENTIAL RABIES EXPOSURE SHOULD

BE REPORTED TO THEM AT 518-828-3358.

AN EMPLOYEE AT THE NEW LEBANON OTB

HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH GRAND LARCENY

AND FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS.

THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

SAYS 63 YEAR OLD PETER DIMITROPOLIS

MADE 9500 DOLLARS IN BETS AND DID

NOT PAY FOR THEM. HE'S BEING HELD

ON 10,000 DOLLARS BAIL.

A CONTRACTOR FROM CENTRAL NEW YORK

WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

JAIL, FOR ALLEGEDLY TAKING OVER 4800

DOLLARS FROM A KINDERHOOK RESIDENT

AND NOT PERFORMING THE WORK HE

PROMISED. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY

SHERIFF'S OFFICE ARRESTED 53 YEAR

OLD KENNETH BROWN ON FELONY CHARGES.

IN WEST GHENT FOR AN HOUR FRIDAY
