THE THREE MEN WHO WERE ALLEGEDLY IN

POSSESSION OF 350 DOSES OF HEROIN AND

A STOLEN GUN, DURING A TRAFFIC STOP IN

HUDSON MARCH 8TH, WERE ALL ARRAIGNED IN

COLUMBIA COUNTY COURT MONDAY. A TRIAL

DATE HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER

16TH FOR AUSTIN CARR, DORIAN CARR, AND

MALEEK SINGLETON.

ALSO IN COUNTY COURT YESTERDAY, THE

MAN WHO WAS BROUGHT BACK FROM TEXAS TO

FACE RAPE CHARGES WAS ARRAIGNED ON 11

COUNTS OF PREDATORY SEXUAL ASSAULT AGAINST

A CHILD, 10 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SEX ACT,

AND 10 COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ABUSE.

THE TRIAL FOR 55 YEAR OLD JOHN ACKLIN

IS SET FOR AUGUST.

STATE POLICE CONFIRM, THEY ARE

INVESTIGATING ANOTHER DEATH OF AN

INMATE AT THE GREENE CORRECTIONAL

FACILITY. POLICE SAY, 24 YEAR OLD JOHN

ESPINOZA COMMITTED SUICIDE ON FEBRUARY

1ST. THE KINGSTON FREEMAN IS REPORTING,

A LAWYER FOR THE FAMILY THINKS OTHERWISE.

TWO OTHER INMATES DIED AT THE PRISON,

IN NOVEMBER AND FEBRUARY.

A CATSKILL MAN IS BEING HELD ON FELONY

BURGLARY CHARGES, AFTER HIS ARREST AT

A CENTRAL AVENUE LOCATION SUNDAY.

CATSKILL POLICE SAY, 34 YEAR OLD DARREN

BARNES WAS HELD ON 1500 DOLLARS BAIL.

A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN CAIRO ENDED

WITH THE ARREST OF A TOWN MAN. 54 YEAR

OLD GREGORY YOUNG WAS CHARGED BY POLICE

WITH ASSAULT, MENACING, AND CRIMINAL

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON.

FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO 280 COUNTY

ROUTE 27 IN COPAKE MONDAY MORNING, AFTER

TWO GARBAGE CANS BURNING, SPREAD TO A

SHED. QUICK ACTION KEPT DAMAGE TO THE

BUILDING TO A MINIMUM.

IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE THAT BROUGHT

HUDSON FIREMEN TO 876 COLUMBIA STREET

YESTERDAY MORNING. THE CALL CAME IN

AROUND 8:45. CREWS WERE ON THE SCENE

FOR AN HOUR.
