HUDSON POLICE SAY, THEIR DARE CAR

HAS BEEN TOTALED, AFTER AN ACCIDENT

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. OFFICER JAKE

HOFFMAN WAS INJURED, AFTER THE CAR

WAS STRUCK BY 18 YEAR OLD MONISH

PATEL AT 6TH AND COLUMBIA STREETS.

PATEL WAS CHARGED WITH D W A I AND

MARIJUANA POSSESSION.

A THREE CAR ACCIDENT CLOSED ROUTE

66 IN CLAVERACK YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.

THE CRASH HAPPENED AROUND 3:45

AT THE ENTRANCE TO DUTCH VILLAGE

MOBILE HOME PARK. WEST GHENT FIRE

AND GREENPORT RESCUE TREATED THE

INJURED. GREENPORT FIRE ASSISTED

WITH TRAFFIC CONTROL.

A CREW MEMBER, ON A SOUTHBOUND

TUG BOAT WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL,

AFTER A MEDICAL EMERGENCY YESTERDAY

AFTERNOON ON THE HUDSON RIVER.

THE MAN WAS HAVING SEIZURES AND

NEEDED TO GET TO A HOSPITAL.

GREENPORT RESCUE AND HUDSON FIRE

WERE ON THE SCENE, AS THE BOAT DOCKED.

AREA FIREFIGHTERS WERE ON THE SCENE

OF TWO BRUSH FIRES WEDNESDAY. THE

FIRST WAS ON MAPLE AVENUE IN GREENVILLE.

THE SECOND WAS ON ALBANY TURNPIKE

IN OLD CHATHAM.

IT WAS AN APPLIANCE FIRE THAT BROUGHT

HUDSON FIREFIGHTERS TO HUDSON TERRACE

APARTMENTS EARLY THIS MORNING. THE

CALL CAME IN JUST BEFORE 1 IN

APARTMENT 4-E.

A PHILMONT WOMAN IS ACCUSED OF LEAVING

A CHILD ALONE FOR A PERIOD ON TIME

ON MONDAY. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S

OFFICE CHARGED 37 YEAR OLD HEATHER SHOOK

WITH ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A

CHILD. POLICE WERE CALLED TO AN AREA

OF MAIN STREET MONDAY, AFTER A ONE

YEAR OLD WAS FOUND WANDERING, ALONE.

THERE WAS NO BIG WINNER IN LAST NIGHT'S

POWERBALL DRAWING. THE NEW YORK LOTTERY

REPORTS THAT SATURDAY NIGHT'S JACKPOT

HAS JUMPED TO 625 MILLION DOLLARS.
