THERE WAS A LARGE POLICE PRESENCE

SUNDAY ON ROUTE 9W AND PLANK ROAD IN

COXSACKIE. STATE POLICE AND GREENE

COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICERS WERE THERE FOR

PROTESTERS, WHO SAY THEY WANT JUSTICE FOR

THE TWO INMATES THAT DIED AT THE FACILITY

OVER THE LAST THREE MONTHS. THE HANDFUL

OF PROTESTERS THAT SHOWED UP WERE

PEACEFUL.

OVER HALF A DOZEN FIRE COMPANIES WERE

ON THE SCENE OF A STRUCTURE FIRE

SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN RAVENA. THE CALL

CAME IN JUST BEFORE NOON AT 119 MAIN

STREET, ACROSS FROM THE FIRE STATION.

THE BUILDING WAS EMPTY WHEN FIRE BROKE

OUT. A CAT WAS RESCUED BY FIREFIGHTERS.

THE CAUSE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

CATSKILL FIRE AND AMBULANCE RESPONDED

TO ROUTE 9W SATURDAY AFTERNOON, FOR

A THREE CAR ACCIDENT. IT HAPPENED

JUST BEFORE NOON AT BROWNS CROSSING

ROAD.

OTHER ACCIDENTS OVER THE WEEKEND, WERE

ON COUNTY ROUTE 67 IN FREEHOLD AND

MCCAGG ROAD IN KINDERHOOK.

PARAMEDICS AND POLICE WERE CALLED

TO A GREENVILLE HOME SUNDAY MORNING,

AFTER A TWO MONTH OLD BOY WAS BIT IN

THE FACE BY A DOG. THE INCIDENT

HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 8:30 AT A HOME

IN INGALSIDE ROAD.

A MASSACHUSETTS MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE

COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL, AFTER A

TRAFFIC STOP ON THE THRUWAY IN CANAAN.

STATE POLICE SAY, 34 YEAR OLD CHANTHON

LIM WAS IN POSSESSION OF COCAINE AND

CLOSE TO SEVEN POUNDS OF MARIJUANA.

BAIL WAS SET AT 10,000 DOLLARS.

TWO PEOPLE FACE CHARGES AFTER A

TRAFFIC STOP BY STATE POLICE ON OLD

POST ROAD IN KINDERHOOK. 21 YEAR OLD

RICARDO DEGROFF OF VALATIE WAS

CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF

MARIJUANA AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION

OF A WEAPON. AND AN 18 YEAR OLD

WOMAN FROM OAK HILL WAS CHARGED

WITH MARIJUANA POSSESSION. BOTH HAVE

SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCES.

IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE THAT

BROUGHT STOTTVILLE FIREFIGHTERS TO

AN APARTMENT AT 2880 ATLANTIC

AVENUE LAST NIGHT. THE CALL CAME

IN JUST BEFORE 8:30.
