A GHENT MAN WAS TAKEN TO THE COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL, ACCUSED OF MENACING HIS NEIGHBOR WITH A MACHETE. STATE POLICE CHARGED 52 YEAR OLD ALBERT DALTON WITH CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON AND MENACING. BAIL WAS SET AT 1000 DOLLARS.


THE GREENVILLE MAN, WHO WAS ARRESTED LAST FALL FOR NUMEROUS DAYTIME BURGLARIES IN GREENE COUNTY,PLEAD GUILTY IN GREENE COUNTY COURT. 50 YEAR OLD TODD RAFFIANI IS SCHEDULED TO BE SENTENCED NEXT MONTH.


A TANNERSVILLE MAN, WHO WAS INDICTED ON SEVERAL FELONY CHARGES FOR SELLING HEROIN IN GREENE COUNTY, PLEAD GUILTY IN GREENE COUNTY COURT TO CRIMINAL SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE AND GRAND LARCENY. 27 YEAR OLD RAYMOND SAUNDERS IS ALSO EXPECTED TO BE SENTENCED IN FEBRUARY.


A DOMESTIC INCIDENT IN THE TOWN OF ATHENS ENDED WITH TWO PEOPLE FACING CHARGES.BOTH 35 YEAR OLD CRYSTAL ADDABBO OF CATSKILL AND 28 YEAR OLD AARON LIBRUK WERE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT BY STATE POLICE. ADDABBO WAS RELEASED, LIBRUK WAS HELD. BOTH HAVE SCHEDULED COURT APPEARANCES.


A CHATHAM MAN WAS ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP ON FARIVIEW AVENUE IN GREENPORT. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS 41 YEAR OLD ANTHONY LIPARI WAS IN POSSESSION OF HEROIN AND HAD NO DRIVER'S LICENSE.


AHEAD OF THIS YEAR'S CORRECTION OFFICER'S BASIC TRAINING COURSE AT COLUMBIA GREENE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, AN INFORMATION SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW. IT TAKES PLACE IN THE PROFESSIONAL ACADEMIC CENTER FROM 10 TO NOON.
