STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING, AFTER A MAN'S BODY WAS FOUND FRIDAY AT A HOME ON WEDDING BELL LANE IN MAPLECREST. THE 78 YEAR OLD MAN WAS FOUND LYING OUTSIDE THE HOME. POLICE SAY, THEY ARE TREATING IT AS AN UNATTENDED DEATH.


MULTIPLE POLICE AGENCIES RESPONDED TO THE RIP VAN WINKLE BRIDGE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AROUND 2, AFTER REPORTS OF A DISTRAUGHT WOMAN ON THE WALKWAY. POLICE WERE ABLE TO TALK THE WOMAN INTO VOLUNTARILY GOING TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL.TRAFFIC WAS BACKED UP IN BOTH DIRECTIONS DURING THIS PERIOD.


A CATSKILL MAN WILL SPEND THE NEXT FIVE YEARS IN PRISON AFTER HIS GUILTY PLEA IN GREENE COUNTY COURT. 28 YEAR OLD DON FAX WAS ARRESTED IN JUNE, FOR FIRING A GUN AT THE HOP O NOSE APARTMENTS. HE HAD PLEAD GUILTY TO CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON.


A RAVENA WOMAN HAS PLEAD GUILTY TO CHARGES, FROM A JULY BREAK-IN AT A HOME ON SCHNEIDER ROAD IN LIVINGSTON.SENTENCING FOR 23 YEAR OLD HEATHER WOOD IS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY.


ONE PERSON WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, FOLLOWING A TWO CAR ACCIDENT IN STOTTVILLE. THE ACCIDENT WAS JUST BEFORE 5 ON ATLANTIC AVENUE.


THERE WERE ALSO ACCIDENTS FRIDAY ON ROUTE 66 IN GHENT AND ROUTE 9 IN NIVERVILLE.


CHATHAM FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO THE COLUMBIA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, FOR A BRUSH FIRE NEAR ONE OF THE BARNS. FIRE OFFICIALS SAY IT WAS STARTED BY KIDS. POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING. ABOUT 90 MINUTES LATER,THEY WERE CALLED TO ANOTHER BRUSH FIRE,ON COLEMAN AVENUE, NEAR RITE AID.


THERE ARE TWO CHRISTMAS PARADES TONIGHT IN COLUMBIA COUNTY. THE PARADE IN VALATIE KICKS OFF WINTER WALK AND CAN BE SEEN ALONG MAIN STREET STARTING AT 5. THE COPAKE PARADE STARTS FROM THE FIREHOUSE AT 5:30 AND ENDS AT TOWN PARK, WHERE THE KIDS CAN MEET SANTA.
