A GHENT MAN DIED FRIDAY AFTERNOON,AFTER HIS MOTORCYCLE COLLIDED WITH A CAR IN HILLSDALE. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS 61 YEAR OLD JOHN CRONIN JUNIOR WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE ON ROUTE 22. THE DRIVER OF THE CAR, JOHANNA CARRITA OF CASTLETON WAS TAKEN TO FAIRVIEW HOSPITAL.


A WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL, AFTER TWO CARS COLLIDED IN GREENPORT. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED JUST AFTER NOON ON FAIRVIEW AVENUE FRIDAY. FOUR OTHERS REFUSED MEDICAL TREATMENT. 


CATSKILL FIRE AND AMBULANCE WERE CALLED TO TWO ACCIDENTS FRIDAY, IN THE SAME LOCATION. JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT THEY RESPONDED TO ROUTE 9W AT VOSENKILL ROAD. THEN, AFTER 8PM ANOTHER CRASH,BROUGHT THEM BACK TO THE SAME AREA.


A CLAVERACK MAN IS FACING FELONY CHARGES, AFTER A VIOLENT DOMESTIC INCIDENT. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS 23 YEAR OLD TYLER ROSSI PUNCHED AND KICKED A WOMAN IN THE FACE,WHILE VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION AGAINST HER. HE WAS SENT TO THE COLUMBIA COUNTY JAIL ON 2500 DOLLARS BAIL.


A RAVENA WOMAN IS BEING HELD ON FELONY BURGLARY CHARGES, IN CONNECTION WITH TWO BREAK-INS, IN NEW BALTIMORE AND COXSACKIE. STATE POLICE ARRESTED 23 YEAR OLD HEATHER WOOD. THEY SAY,THE BURGLARIES WERE IN JULY.


TOWN OF GREENPORT WATER DEPARTMENT CREWS WERE LOOKING FOR A POSSIBLE WATER MAIN BREAK ON FRIDAY, AFTER THE TOWN STARTED GETTING REPORTS OF VERY DIRTY WATER. TOWN OFFICIALS SAY THEY WILL BE WORKING ON THE PROBLEM THROUGH THE WEEKEND.


THOUSANDS ARE EXPECTED TODAY, AT THE FIREFIGHTER'S MUSEUM IN HUDSON FOR THE ANNUAL DALMATIAN DAY. THE FREE FAMILY EVENT INCLUDES DOZENS OF DALMATIANS AND HAS BECOME THE MUSEUM'S BIGGEST EVENT OF THE YEAR.IT RUNS FROM 10 TO 3.


THE SIXTH ANNUAL DAY OF HOPE, TO FIGHT BREAST CANCER, ALSO TAKES PLACE TODAY. THE EVENT AT GREENPORT TOWN PARK, WILL HAVE OVER 50 VENDORS,LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, COMMUNITY GROUPS,AND FOOD. IT RUNS FROM 10 TO 4.
