A 17 YEAR OLD FROM TOM'S RIVER NEW JERSEY DIED SUNDAY MORNING, IN AN ACCIDENT ON ROUTE 23A IN HAINES FALLS.THE ACCIDENT CLOSED THE ROAD FOR SEVERAL HOURS. THE GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE PLANS TO RELEASE MORE INFORMATION TODAY.


A MAN AND WOMAN IN THEIR 50'S WERE INJURED SATURDAY AFTERNOON, WHEN TWO CARS COLLIDED IN CATSKILL. FIRE AND RESCUE CREWS RESPONDED TO WEST BRIDGE STREET AT BROOME STREET JUST BEFORE 3:30.


A ONE CAR ACCIDENT SENT ONE PERSON TO COLUMBIA MEMORIAL SATURDAY NIGHT. GREENPORT FIRE AND RESCUE WERE CALLED TO ROUTE 66 AT MERLE AVENUE JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT.


A 30 YEAR OLD MAN WAS INJURED SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN A BICYCLE ACCIDENT IN CHATHAM. THE MAN WAS FOUND UNCONSCIOUS AND BLEEDING FROM THE HEAD, ON ROUTE 203 AT COLEMAN STREET.


AN ELECTRICAL FIRE BROUGHT ANCRAM AND TAGHKANIC FIREFIGHTERS TO 681 COUNTY ROUTE 7 IN GALLATIN SUNDAY MORNING.THE CALL CAME IN AT 7:30, AFTER SMOKE WAS REPORTED IN THE BASEMENT.


AN INCIDENT ON HUDSON AVENUE IN CHATHAM HAS LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A VILLAGE MAN.STATE POLICE CHARGED 47 YEAR OLD ERIC HUMBERT WITH ILLEGAL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON. HE WAS HELD ON CASH BAIL.


THE SEVEN CANDIDATES LOOKING TO UNSEAT CONGRESSMAN JOHN FASO IN THE FALL,WILL BE IN HUDSON TONIGHT. THE DEBATE,AT THE HUDSON INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL,BEGINS AT 6:30. ACCORDING TO THE ORGANIZERS, THE EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
