Firefighters from over half a dozen companies were called to 601 Sutton Road in East Durham this morning.
When units arrived on the scene, they reported the structure was fully involved.
The call came in just after 4:30. They told Greene County 9 1 1 the residence was evacuated.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring barns, however, the structure was a total loss. Heavy equipment was knocking down what remained.
No word on any injuries, or the cause.
