Cairo Firefighters were called to the Resurrection Lutheran Church Monday morning for a reported electrical fire.
The caller reported, just after 11:30, that wires on the roof were arching.
The building was evacuated.
There were a lot of children to evacuate today, as it was the first day of Vacation Bible School.
Everyone got out safely, there were no reported injuries.
The parking lot however got very crowded, as parents arrived to pick up their children.
