SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARREST THIRD SUSPECT IN PHILMONT HOME INVASION
Philmont, N.Y. - Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett reports that Sheriff’s Office Investigators made a third arrest in connection with the Philmont home invasion.
On April 15, 2019 at approximately 4:47pm, investigators arrested a third suspect, who was a 16 year old male. The individual was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Endangering the welfare of a child (Both Class A Misdemeanors).
He was arraigned in Hudson City Court before Judge Connor and was released on his own recognizance. There is a future court date in Columbia County Family Court.
On April 14, 2019 at approximately 9:39pm, Deputies responded for a reported burglary in progress at a residence on Main Street in the Village of Philmont. Three individuals had forced their way into a residence occupied by two adult victims and four children all under the age of seven. It was reported by the victims that the suspects attempted to steal property from within the residence.
