A three vehicle accident backed up traffic this morning on the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. The crash happened just before 8 in the Eastbound lanes, and involved a jeep, a mini-van, and a Coxsackie Transport bus.
Greenport Fire and Rescue responded, Both State Police and Greenport Police were on scene.
Any injuries, were reported to be minor.
The big story was the traffic back-ups, close to a mile long in both directions.
8am is not a good time for an accident on the bridge.
