Hudson Police seek two for car break-ins, Walmart thefts

HUDSON—Hudson Police received a report that four vehicles had been broken into May 8 at 9:20 p.m. The vehicles were parked in the employees’ parking lot of the Firemen’s Home, 125 Harry Howard Avenue.

All four vehicles had windows smashed and thieves took about $500 along with two wallets, two purses, checkbooks and numerous credit and debit cards.

The suspects are described as one male and one female. The woman is in her 20s, wearing a gray sweatshirt. The man is in his 20s, wearing a dark-colored ball cap, black mask, blue long-sleeved shirt with an “MTV” logo on it, police said.

Hudson Police have been working closely with the Capital Region Crime Analysis Center, State Police, Greenport Police, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Walmart Loss Prevention Unit.

“We are working on a lead that these two committed as similar series of thefts Saturday at a Walmart in Queensbury, Warren County. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call detectives at 518-828-3388,” Hudson Police Chief L. Edward Moore said in a press release.
