NEW LEBANON – A Pittsfield, Massachusetts woman has been arrested following a traffic stop on Saturday afternoon on Route 20 in New Lebanon on charges of possessing a large amount of fentanyl.
State Police said Brenda McCartney, 39, was found with 49 grams f fentanyl, small amounts of crack cocaine, opiates and naloxone, as well as equipment used to measure illicit drugs for sale.
She was charged with two counts of felony drug possession including one count with intent to sell, and three counts of misdemeanor drug possession and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
McCartney was released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
