City of Kingston
•Unlicensed driving:Charles J. Scott, 41, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Ulster in the city of Kingston at 3:26 a.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (10 or more suspensions), a felony. He was issued an appearance ticket for Kingston City Court.
Bethlehem
• DWAI-drugs:Hyman Freedman, 50, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Albany at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Freedman was released with a ticket for Bethlehem Town Court.
Coxsackie
• Drugs: Chelsi E. Ferriere, 27, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Ferriere was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
• Grand larceny:Thomas McConnon, 58, of Belleville, N.J., was arrested out of state by New York state police at Coxsackie at 2:54 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in connection with a theft alleged to have occurred on June 6, 2019, in the village of Coxsackie. McConnon was charged with grand larceny, a felony. His status and additional information were not immediately available.
• Drugs:Joseph D. Carey, 19, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested by state police at Albany at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Carey was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
Marbletown
• Obstruction:Quran L. Ray, 23, and an 18-year-old female, both of Kingston, were arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:17 p.m. Thursday, March 4. Ray was charged with obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and contempt of a court order, all misdemeanors. The 18-year-old was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. They were released with tickets for Marbletown Town Court.
Marlborough
• DWI:Raymond Williams, 31, of Marlboro, was arrested by state police at Highland at 6:22 p.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors. Williams was released with tickets for Marlborough Town Court.
Saugerties
• Drugs:Danielle N. Wells, 30, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in the village of Saugerties and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeanors. Wells was released with tickets for Saugerties Village Court.
Shawangunk
• Grand larceny:Shane D. Cortright, 30, Noah M. Cortright, 55, and Halie Bernal, 25, all of Pine Bush, were arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 4. Shane Cortright was charged with possession of a forged instrument, a felony. Noah Cortright was charged with grand larceny, a felony, and Bernal was charged with four felony counts of possession of a forged instrument. All were released with tickets for Shawangunk Town Court. Further information was not immediately available.
Town of Ulster
• DWI:April M. Simpson, 48, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Simpson was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
Cairo
• Contraband:David P. Daoust, 21, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 8:57 a.m. Friday, March 5, in the town of Cairo, and was charged with possession of prison contraband and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. Daoust was held pending a court appearance.
• Drugs:James M. Garner, 23, of Troy, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:28 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Garner was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.
Lloyd
• DWI:Jailyn L. Miller, 21, of Albany, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Miller was released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court.
Marbletown
• DWI:Samantha J. Strand, 34, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:28 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Strand was released with tickets for Marbletown Town Court.
Plattekill
• DWAI-drugs:Thomas H. Lohmann, 47, of Callicoon, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:23 a.m. Dec. 3, 2020, and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeanors. Lohmann was released with tickets for Plattekill Town Court.
Town of Ulster
• Drugs:Katie A. Warren, 30, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5:40 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Warren was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
• DWI:Francisco J. Equihua, 35, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 10:45 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with drunken driving, a misdemeanor. Equihua was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
Town of Wappinger
•DWI:Craig M. Bassett, 29, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Wappinger at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, March 6, and was charged with drunken driving (first offense) and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Bassett was released to a third party pending a court appearance.
Wawarsing
• DWAI-drugs:Jordan Mahany, 23, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 9:20 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Mahany was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
•False report:Kayla Penovich, 27, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 5, and was charged with falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor, based on a March 1 report. She was issued an appearance ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
City of Kingston
• DWI: Rebeca Hernandez Granados, 33, of Kingston was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:16 a.m. Sunday, March 7 in the city of Kingston on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. She was released with a ticket to appear in Kingston City Court.
Athens
• Drugs: Donald L. Maurer, 57, of Catskill was arrested at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, March 7, by state police at Coxsackie on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of manufacturing drug-related paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. He was released with tickets to appear in Athens Town Court.
Catskill
• DWI: Jason A. McCarthy, 38, of Hillsdale, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:33 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in the town of Catskill on misdemeanor charges of aggravated drunken driving, drunken driving, and aggravated unlicensed driving. He was released with tickets to appear in Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Melanie C. Thyrring, 60, of Ravena, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, March 7, in the town of Catskill on misdemeanor charges of aggravated drunken driving, drunken driving, and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. She was released with tickets to appear in Catskill Town Court.
Lloyd
• DWI: Jalicia M. Perry, 28, of Poughkeepsie was arrested by state police at Highland at 11:58 a.m. Saturday, March 6, on a felony charge of aggravated drunken driving with a child and a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. She was released with tickets to appear in Lloyd Town Court.
Town of Rochester
• Unlicensed driving: Anthony J. Bachetti, 42, of High Falls, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, March 6, on a felony charge of aggravated unlicensed driving. He was released with a ticket to appear in Rochester Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWAI-drugs: Todd Kuriplach, 64, of West Saugerties Road, Saugerties was arrested by Saugerties police Sunday, March 7, on a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. Police said officers received a complaint at about 10:50 a.m. of an erratic vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. Route 9W in the village. The vehicle was seen weaving across both lanes of traffic and reportedly struck a parked car on Partition Street before continuing south, police said. Officers located the vehicle in Barclay Heights as the driver, Kuriplach, was turning into the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union parking lot, where, police said the vehicle was seen striking a signpost. Officers determined Kuriplach was driving under the influence of drugs. Kuriplach was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court.
Town of Ulster
• Drugs: Nicholas A. Freeman, 24, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, March 6, and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was released with tickets to appear in Ulster Town Court.
