· Weapons/drugs/DWI:James F. Gaudiosi Jr., 27, of Hudson, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 11:11 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, on state Route 23 and charged with the felonies of possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm, and the misdemeanors of drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana, a violation. A search of Gaudiosi's vehicle yielded a loaded .22- caliber pistol, a .22-caliber long rifle, a magazine containing ammunition, a "billy-club," Tramadol in a pouch and marijuana, according to state police. Gaudiosi was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.

· Introduction of dangerous contraband in prison:Joseph Spates, 61, of New York City, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility and charged with introduction of dangerous contraband in prison, a felony, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Spates was arraigned in Greene County Court and sent by the Greene County Department of Corrections to the Albany County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
