Saugerties
• DWI: Brandon M. Galunas, 50, of Bearsville, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08% and drunken driving. Galunas was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court.
Town of Rochester
• DWI: Christopher L. Ronda, 31, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies about 11:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, on Boodle Hole Road and charged with the misdemeanor of drunken driving and the infraction of failing to keep right. The Sheriff's Office said deputies saw Ronda driving in the wrong direction and partially blocking the road. He was released with tickets to appear in Rochester Town Court.
• DWI: Alena A. Dennington, 21, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s about 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, in the area of 410 Tow Path Road in Accord after a personal-injury car accident for the misdemeanor of drunken driving and the traffic infractions of moving from a lane unsafely, speeding, unlicensed driving and driving out of class. Deputies said it appeared Dennington was driving while her ability was impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol, causing her to drive off the road and strike several trees. She was taken to HealthAlliance Hospital's Broadway Campus in Kingston for evaluation and released with tickets to appear in Rochester Town Court.
Catskill
• Burglary: Breanna N. Smith, 30, of Oak Hill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and charged with the felony of burglary of a dwelling. Smith was released with a ticket to appear in Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Joseph Viela, 36, of Cementon, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08% and drunken driving. Viela was released with tickets to appear in Catskill Town Court.
Cairo
• DWI: Darren L. Myer, 51, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, and charged with the felonies of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving. Myer was released with tickets to appear in Cairo Town Court.
