URGENT drug task force makes huge drug bust of heroin & fentanyl -Kingston

KINGSTON –TheUlster County Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) arrested a Kingston man in a major heroin and fentanyl drug ring on Tuesday morning. 

Timothy Schleede, 29, was arrested and charged with the possession of approximately 10,000 bags of heroin and fentanyl weighing approximately 36 ounces. Two search warrants were issued, following a month-long investigation at various Town of Ulster hotel sand motels. 2,500 bags of narcotics were seized from Schleede’s hotel room and the other 7,500 bags in a second location associated with Schleede.

Schleedewas identified by police engaging in multiple drug deals last week, one of which was to an undercover officer.

Ulster County Sheriff Juan Figueroa said Schleede, “…was definitely a main player in Ulster County.”

Schleede was arraigned in Town of Ulster Court and was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail, due to a violation following a previous arrest in Town of Ulster.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s department said the investigation is ongoing and they expect more charges to be added.
