SAUGERTIES – A Village of Saugerties woman has been charged with harassment following an incident on July 31.
At about 6:46 p.m., police responded to 220 Main Street for a report of a fight in progress. The victim reported that Shanti Payne, 27, had physically attacked her in an attempt to take her cell phone away.
Payne was taken into custody, processed in town court and released with an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
