State Police discover car and body in Hudson River in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE –New York State Policeare investigating the discovery of a vehicle with human remains in the Hudson River near Waryas Park in the City of Poughkeepsie.

State Police divers located the car earlier this morning and it was later pulled from the river, placed on a flatbed truck to be removed for forensic investigation.

Sources have toldMid Hudson Newsthat the body may be the remains of an individual reported missing in 2008. TheCity of Poughkeepsie policeand the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Officer were also on the scene.
