According to the Daily Freeman, Columbia County man accused of firing a shotgun at group of people!

GALLATIN, N.Y. — A man is due in court in July for allegedly firing a shotgun three times at a group of people on Sigler Road in this Columbia County town, according to state police.

Joshua C. Parsons, 39, of Gallatin, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of reckless endangerment, all felonies, and misdemeanor drunken driving after the incident on Thursday, May 7, police said.

Police said troopers responded about 10:15 that night to a report of a man shooting at people, and they found Parsons operating a 1996 Honda Accord on Sigler Road while in possession of a 12-gauge Marlin 120 shotgun.

The investigation determined Parsons had confronted a group of people walking on Sigler Road and fired one shot in the air, police said. They said the people then fled down the road and were followed by Parsons, who drove his vehicle at them. The people then ran off the road, away from Parsons, and he fired two more times, police said.

No injuries were reported. Police did not provide a possible motive for the incident.
