Mid-Hudson Valley arrests report: April 23, 2020

According to the Daily Freeman, here are the local arrest on April 23rd.

Accord

• Family offense: Richard Jarvis, 31, of Accord, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff's deputies on charges of aggravated family offense, a felony, and criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, deputies said Thursday, April 22. Deputies said the arrest was the result of an investigation into Jarvis allegedly violating an order of protection on Tuesday, April 21, by making several phone calls and sending emails to a person he was not supposed to contact. Jarvis was arraigned and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail pending a further court appearance. 

New Paltz

• Petit larceny: Eli C. Beam, 21, of New Paltz, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff's deputies on Thursday, April 23, and was charged with "several' counts of petit larcenyn and two counts of possession of stolen property, all misdemeanors, and "several" counts of trespassing, a violation. Deputies said they responded at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday to a residence in Accord following a report of a stolen presidential election campaign flag. Deputies said Beam fled the area but was located on Butterville Road in New Paltz with assistance from the state police. Deputies said when he was found, Beam had in his possession numerous similar campaign flags and other related campaign and political lawn signs. The investigation uncovered several additional, similar thefts, which occurred on April 4, deputies said. Beam was released with tickets to appear in New Paltz and Rochester town courts. 

Plattekill

• Mischief: Paul A. Bruno, 30, of Gardiner, was arrested by state police at Highland at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, on felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief. He was released with tickets to appear in Plattekill Town Court. 

Saugerties

• DWAI: Monika G. Struna, 71, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, on West Bridge Street and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. She was released with a ticket to appear in Saugerties Village Court.
