Mid-Hudson Valley Arrests Report: April 21, 2020

According to the Daily Freeman, here are the local arrest on April 21st.

City of Kingston

•Drugs: Seymour G. Samuel of Birch Street, Kingston, was charged Monday, April 20, with three counts each of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, according to the Kingston Police Department. Samuel was arrested after an investigation into narcotics trafficking in the city, police said. Samuel was ordered held without bail at Ulster County Jail on a parole warrant.

Coxsackie

•Impaired: Mason J. Lewis, 19, of Catskill, was charged at approximately 9:24 p.m. Monday, April 20, with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, in Coxsackie, according to state police at Coxsackie. He was issued an appearance ticket, police said.

Saugerties

• Criminal Contempt:Donald E. Degroat, 51, of Saugerties, was charged Monday, April 20, with criminal contempt of a court order and aggravated family offense, felonies, according to the Saugerties Police Department. Police had responded to a report of domestic dispute at about 8:21 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at 399 state Route 212. Prior to the arrival of police, Donald Degroat fled the area, authorities said. Investigation by officers revealed that Degroat repeatedly violated an order of protection, police said. Degroat was found on Monday and ordered held at the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $500 bail, police said.
